Primobolan Depot (methonolone enanthate) is often of interest to beginning steroid users and sometimes to experienced users. The first question to consider is really not pharmacological but one of economics. Usually for any given level of effect, Primobolan is an unusually expensive choice. And for most users, there is no unique benefit gained from its use. Accordingly, most experienced steroid users do not include it in their steroid cycle planning.


#What is Primobolan (Methenolone)
Primobolan is considered a fairly weak steroid. Its anabolic/androgenic ratings are low and it's one of the weakest steroids on paper; though, it is stronger than masteron. Since masteron is always related to cutting cycles, on paper primo should gain credibility as a cutting steroid.

Primo has a huge advantage over most steroids, as it's stronger than testosterone at binding to the androgen receptor. As with most dihydrotestosterone (DHT) related AAS, it's a good aid for fat loss. In addition, primo doesn't aromatize, so you won't need an aromatase inhibitor (AI) or SERM with it. Interesting fact, primobolan was tested by old-school bodybuilders as gynecomastia (gyno) treatment back in the 70s and 80s. As strange as it sounds, it has been medically proven to reduce breast tumors in women (which are mainly estrogen related).

Since primobolan increases nitrogen retention, it's been touted as anti-catabolic, and somewhat anabolic (which can be disputed). In simple terms, it helps you keep your muscle mass while you're dieting. That's one of the biggest reasons it's used on cutting cycles. Anecdotally, evidence shows that by using primobolan during low-calorie diets (even 20-30% below your BMR), you can keep your current lean muscle while gaining new muscle tissue. While this seems to be against basic understanding of nutrition, we'll chuck this one to the magic of steroids. I can safely say, multiple clients of mine have used primobolan for pre-contest or pre-modeling cycles and have literally gained lean mass while losing bodyfat. I'm not saying they became mass monsters, but an average 1 pound of muscle mass per week while dropping bodyfat isn't too bad.


#Primobolan Side Effects
Primobolan is widely held in high regard as one of the few anabolic steroids that is considered very 'mild' in the sense that it presents absolutely zero risk of any Estrogenic side effects at any dose as well as its very weak androgenic strength rating, which allows it to exhibit far less severity in terms of the potential of androgenic side effects than most other anabolic steroids. This is the reason as to why Primobolan is often pitted against and compared to its close brother, Anavar. Both are anabolic steroids that have been utilized medically in the treatment of women and children with very little risk of ill effects and both are considered very 'mild' in regards to potential side effects. This is, however, where the similarities between the two end, as Primobolan is an anabolic steroid that possesses not only a weak affinity for various side effects, but also a weak anabolic strength when compared to the majority of other anabolic steroids in existence (and in comparison to Anavar).


#Primobolan Depot Not a "Weak" Steroid
That said, contrary to common opinion, Primobolan really is not a weak steroid, at least not on a milligram for milligram basis. It certainly is not weak in terms of anabolic effect versus side effects. It is a good performer in these regards. However, because the oil solubility of methenolone enanthate is only moderate, preparations are typically of only 100 mg/mL. This can give a psychological impression of not being as strong a compound as more concentrated products.

Another likely reason for perceived weakness is that it is most often used for anabolic steroid cycles which deliberately are very conservative. For example, a classic beginner cycle is 400 mg/week Primobolan as the only steroid used. Of course, this does not give extreme gains. But then again neither does 400 mg/weektestosterone!

With most anabolic steroids or anabolic steroid stacks, total use needs to be at least 500 mg/week and more preferably 700-1000 mg/week before a cycle is likely to be highly effective. This rule is no different when Primobolan is used as the sole anabolic steroid or as part of a performance-enhancing stack (combination of drugs.)


#How to use Methenolone And at what dosages
The problem with primobolan is the price vs. results value. You need to use fairly high doses to get good results.
For men, injectable dosages should be 600-800mgs per week or higher, and oral dosages should be around 75-100mgs per day.

For women, I suggest using only oral primobolan. Around 10mgs per day seems to be a good amount to start with. You should play with the dosage but never go over 20mgs per day.


#What is the half-life of primobolan
For the injectable version, Primobolan Enanthate, the half-life is around 10 days. The oral version has conflicting evidence about half-life. There are some studies that claim Primobolan Acetate has a 4 hour half-life, while others claim 6 hours. Therefore, to be safe, oral primo has a 4 to 6 hour half-life.
